Proximal Femoral Nailing for Double Level Fracture Femur

General characteristics of the proximal femoral nailing

  • Manufactured by Medimetal.
  • The proximal femoral nailing offers a good osteosynthesis for the femoral neck fractures, for the trochanteric fractures and for the various fractures of the upper third part. In some cases of the femoral neck fracture, it could be necessary to prevent the rotation of the head, in favour of it a double neck screw ensures the stability of the rotation.
  • The combination of the two neck screws could provide an increased strength for the system. The proximal femoral nails are short, solid and long, and cannulated. Long nails are anatomically curved, right and left hand versions are also available. The distal end can be fitted by two locking screws, on request dynamization of the fracture is ensured.
